Since I've become a fashion blogger, I had not had the opportunity to attend a Pakistani fashion show. That was until last December when I attended Bridal Couture Week in Lahore. To be honest, my attendance at the show was pure luck as I happened to be in Lahore when it was taking place. I had seen some posts on Instagram about it so was curious to see if I could get some passes. Luckily my friend Amjad who works in public relations was able to contact their team and arrange passes for all three days. Score! I have to admit, I was more excited then I should have been. Recently I was contacted by UK based designer to check out her brand. I was impressed by how unique her designs were and was particularly smitten with her embroidered lehnga with orange skirt from her new collection. She was kind enough to send me that lehnga that I recently attended. Her service was fantastic and it was so easy to communicate with her. I started my brand back in 2012. Fashion has always been my main interest since as long as I can remember - any fashion designer will tell you the same. Shama Rukh with a model both wearing Kapra Latta Introducing upcoming designer Shama Rukh of Kapra Latta. She started her brand in June 2013 taking inspiration from the Sindhi culture. I love her use of bright colours and her ability to bring a modern touch to traditional patterns and embroidery. She's based in Karachi and stocks in 'J'adore Pret' which is multi brand store but also takes orders from international clients through her Facebook page. Though being a new brand, Kapra Latta has dressed celebrities like Tatmain Ul Qulb and Dua Malik.
