3 Bahadur Trailer

Parents rejoice! The awesome people from Waadi Animations have created an original Pakistani animated movie for your children. I'm amazed by the production value and the effort they have made to create an original but interesting story. While there have been some great animated movie for kids so far but none of them have ever featured Pakistanis and so to see something like this makes me ecstatic!  Based in a fictional town in Pakistan, Roshan Basti (Town of Light), eleven year old Amna, Saadi and Kamal set out to save their community from the many evils that plague it. The film is a journey of fighting back, taking charge, and finding support and love in the most improbably of places. Who else is excited to see this? Check out the full trailer below:

My Experience: Telenor Bridal Couture Week 2014

Image
Since I've become a fashion blogger, I had not had the opportunity to attend a Pakistani fashion show. That was until last December when I attended Bridal Couture Week in Lahore. To be honest, my attendance at the show was pure luck as I happened to be in Lahore when it was taking place. I had seen some posts on Instagram about it so was curious to see if I could get some passes. Luckily my friend Amjad who works in public relations was able to contact their team and arrange passes for all three days. Score! I have to admit, I was more excited then I should have been. It was just amazing to be recognised as a blogger and for my hard work as administrator of Pakistanstreetstyle. See I'm well aware of the current system in Pakistan where it's more about who you know then what you know and for someone like me to be asked to attend as a media person, someone who has no friends in the fashion world or with no rich parents who can buy me connections, I have to say I felt good. I

New Jewellery Brand: Outhouse

Image
When you're completely lost on what to wear, the easiest thing to do is throw on a fun accessory and build your outfit around that. Here, we have awesome brand jewellery brand Outhouse to save the day. They just had an exhibition in Karachi and fashionistas lusted after their gorgeous pieces. The lovely Sana Hafeez Sheikh is behind the launch of Outhouse in Pakistan and might I say, thank goodness! Outhouse is a breath of fresh air from the traditional kind of jewellery we're used to seeing over here. Sana told me that the collection she brought to Karachi was sold out within days and thats he would hopefully bringing an exhibition to Lahore soon. Here's hoping it's sooner than later! I've spoken to the beautiful sisters behind the brand, Sasha and Kaabia Grewal to find out more behind their brand and their vision. For orders in Pakistan, please email Sana Hafeez Sheikh at sanahafeezsheikh@gmail.com 1) Who is behind the brand? Outhouse Jewellery is the brainchild of

New Store: House of Aphrodite

Image
During my recent trip to Lahore I was invited to an exclusive tour of new store House of Aphrodite. It is owned by the lovely and trendy Sumbal Hammad. She set about opening this store to provide a place for Lahoris to shop the latest Western wear at affordable prices. As she showed me around the store, she told me about she was a stickler for good quality clothing and how she had hand picked everything present in the store itself. I was impressed with the selection of clothing and the general atmosphere of the store. They had a big open space with chairs and a television (perfect for bored husbands!) and the staff were very helpful and attentive. Not only do they sell clothing, they stock jewellery, shoes, handbags and lingerie (something I feel there is a severe lack of in Lahore). After speaking to Sumbul, she let me pick my favourite pieces and style them. Check below of more photos of the store as well as looks styled by me. The best part is that the location of the store is easy
