Update for TGIF!


Before I jet *ahem* drive up to San Francisco for the FoodBuzz Festival at various locations and sampling various cuisines from Nor Cal, I want to spread the word about an event to those that are staying local (aka Los Angeles area).

40 Years of Preservation Celebrated at the Historic San Antonio Winery

On Saturday, November 7, the Heritage Square Museum will host a very special 40th Anniversary Fundraiser and Luncheon at the historic San Antonio Winery. This event will help raise critical funds for Heritage Square Museum to continue for another 40 years. The Fundraiser begins at 1:30 p.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. Honorary Event Chair, Councilman Ed Reyes, District One, will be in attendance and making a special presentation.

As many of you know, dineLA has been going on at over 200 different restaurants in the greater Los Angeles area. One of the better news of the day was the fact dineLA will be extended to Oct. 18 th to 23rd for some of the participating restaurants. Hockey Hall Of Fame - My Date With Lord Stanley (Toronto, ONT)

Entrance As we shift some of these review back to our neighbors upstairs, Canada, this is a way to introduce myself. Hi, my name is Danny, I'm a Panda, and I'm also a Hockey fan. Growing up in the United States, before becoming a foodie, a "gourmand," I've always been what you call a sport nut. I love Baseball, Football, Basketball, and heck, even NASCAR, but in the past 3-4 years, the sport that I've been following primarily has been Hockey, and my San Jose Sharks. Les Délices de l'Erable - Great Little Tourist Stop (Montreal, QC)

Les Délices de l'Erable It's our last day in Montreal, and the last meal that awaited my buddies and I would be the main reason I had suggested Canadian trip in the first place, Au Pied de Cochon. Since we had to finish the smoked meat plate from Schwartz from the night before for breakfast, none of us were hungry and would rather save our appetite for the foie gras feast that awaited, thus we stopped by this rather lovely gelato and maple syrup shop while we were strolling around the streets of Montreal. Inside Les Délices de l'Erable This was a very clean and neat shop. You were able to not only purchase the various flavors of gelato available, but also maple syrup to take home.
